Telestack : Handling aggregates from self unloading vessels

Reducing costs and improving efficiency in aggregate transportation is a top priority. As a vital material in construction, stakeholders strive to minimize labor and time involved.

Traditionally, trucks and trains have been used to move aggregates in Europe. However, the growing concern for environmental impact, road congestion, and pollution has prompted companies to explore eco-friendly and reliable alternatives like marine transportation.

Self-unloading vessels are being used more often as they are equipped with long, discharge booms and integrated conveyor belts that directly discharge the aggregates from the holds to shore at a rate of up to 3,000 tonnes/hour and more. However, many ports face challenges in handling aggregates from the discharge boom to storage or trucks for ongoing transport.

A FLEXIBLE ALTERNATIVE METHOD TO TRANSFER BULK FROM SELF UNLOADING VESSELS

Telestack offers a flexible solution by utilising a mobile conveyor system direct from the discharge point (vessel discharge boom) to the storage area while eliminating the need for any wheel loaders, grabs or any further resources.

The range of designs from Telestack allows for handling rates from 200 tph to 1,000 tph from smaller 3,000 dwt to 10,000 dwt self-unloading discharge vessels. The range also extends to the largest self-unloaders with handling rates from 1,000 tph up to 3,000 tph of aggregates.
