REACHES EVERY CORNER OF THE RECYCLING CENTER WITHOUT REPOSITIONING

Recycling company saves 30 percent on operating costs

With the new SENNEBOGEN 835 G Hybrid, Ashvin Metals in Poulton-Le-Fylde, UK, is optimizing the handling of non-ferrous metals. Thanks to its greater reach, higher lifting capacity, and reduced fuel consumption, the new machine ensures improved productivity in confined spaces – impressing both operators and management.

The recycling company Ashvin Metals operates three sites in the United Kingdom and specializes in the scrap recycling of non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, copper or brass.

After delivery by truck, the mixed scrap metal is separated, pressed, and prepared for further processing. At the Poulton-Le-Fylde site, limited space necessitates efficient operational organization to ensure smooth processes.

SAVINGS OF 30% IN OPERATING COSTS

In 2024, the recycling company invested in a new SENNEBOGEN 835 G material handler with a 50-tonne operating weight. The machine is powered by a high-performance 210 kW diesel engine. The standard Green Hybrid system reduces fuel consumption by up to 30% through innovative recuperation technology , making a significant contribution to increasing efficiency at the site.

GREATER RANGE

With a reach of 20 meters and the 0.8 m³ multi-shell grab, the 835 G effortlessly reaches every corner of the recycling yard. The increased reach was a crucial purchasing criterion, as owner Andrew Dixon emphasizes:

“Our previous machine weighed 40 tons – it was fine, but the larger SENNEBOGEN allows us to park it in a corner and still easily reach the shears and scrap bins .”

“The additional range makes life easier…”

…I can now serve almost the entire yard from the center. Previously, I had to reposition myself to do so.”

SERVICE CONVINCES

The acquisition of the 835 G was accompanied by the SENNEBOGEN service and sales partner Molson Group

Operations manager Andrew Whitmore is delighted with the support received so far: “Machines always have problems from time to time, but with the technical support from the SENNEBOGEN specialists and the 24/7 service, we know that no matter what happens, they will get us up and running again quickly. You don’t get that from other dealers.”

The new SENNEBOGEN 835 G impresses in scrap handling in Poulton-Le-Fylde with its long range, reduced fuel consumption and excellent support from the SENNEBOGEN service and sales partner Molson Group.
