PLM Cranes is proud to announce the biggest PLM DREDGING CRANE we built in the PLM history ever – 70t@23m !

PLM cranes finished assembly and testing a custom built PLM 7023 rockdredger with a capacity of 70t @ 23m and a hoist capacity of 100 metric ton.  

The PLM crane is Caterpillar diesel driven 1476 KW / 2000 HP and is mounted on a 65X23m dredging barge.

The PLM crane is built under class and has a significant wave height of 2m.  

Here’s a short list of some of the options installed in the crane :

  • Slack wire control
  • Remote monitoring system
  • Load Moment Indication
  • Max. hoist capacity of 100 metric ton
  • 4 types of crane functions with automated switch-over of load charts
  • Grab logic
  • Manually adjustable grab underload
  • Pitch & Roll warning / alarm / cutoff
  • Freefall winch

The system is equipped with a Teledyne Reeson dredging computer equipped with survey sonar as well.
