Konecranes has received an order for four 15-1200C electric forklifts from Swedishforestry group Södra. The electric forklifts will operate at two of their sites, Södra Cell Värö and Södra Cell Mörrum, both located in Sweden. The order was booked in Q1 2026, with three units scheduled for delivery in Q2 2026 and the fourth in Q3 2026.

Södra is Sweden’s largest forest owner association and a major producer of pulp, timber and bio-based products. Improving energy efficiency and electrification are key elements in reducing Scope 1 emissions in Södra’s operations, and Konecranes’ fully electric machines support these demanding material flows with zero tailpipe emissions during operation.

Since 2014, Konecranes has delivered more than 40 lift trucks to Södra across its operations. Three of the new Konecranes 15-1200C electric forklifts will be deployed to handle paper bales, while the fourth will be dedicated to timber operations. With these deliveries, Konecranes will have deployed a total of 13 electric forklifts to Södra.

An expanding container terminal in the Republic of the Congo has ordered a package of Konecranes equipment to support continued growth in container volumes. The order was booked in Q1 2026, with delivery scheduled for H2 2026.

Located on the country’s west coast, the terminal supports regional container flows across Central Africa. Previous deliveries of Konecranes reach stackers and empty container handlers between 2021 and 2025 have established a reliable handling fleet at the site. This latest investment will support further business growth.

The five Konecranes Liftace 4532 TCE5 reach stackers are designed to support efficient container movement across the yard, while the six Konecranes Liftace E 6/7 ECC9 empty container handlers deliverdedicated capacity for stacking and repositioning empty containers. All these lift trucks combine high performance with strong safety and ergonomic standards, ensuring a comfortable and efficient operator environment.

Local delivery and lifecycle support for the lift trucks will be provided through Konecranes distributor Paterson Simons. The distributor’s technical team will maintain an on-site presence for eight months, supporting commissioning and initial operations.

Church Brothers Farms is a grower-shipper of fresh vegetables that farms and harvests thousands of acres across California, Arizona and northern and central Mexico. Lomé Container Terminal (LCT) in Togo is about to take delivery of two Konecranes SMV 4632 TC5 reach stackers and seven Konecranes SMV 7/8 ECC90 empty container handlers to support expansion plans and increasing operational demands. This delivery is scheduled for Q2 2026 and further strengthens the long-term partnership between the two companies.

Longstanding customer Luka Koper has ordered four more Konecranes electric Rubber-Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes for its container terminal at Slovenia’s Port of Koper. This follows the 2024 order of four identical Konecranes electric RTGs. The new  crane order was booked in Q3 2025 and hand-over is planned for Q2 2026.

Luka Koper operates Slovenia’s only cargo seaport, a key Adriatic gateway to Central and Eastern Europe. The company is continuously investing in its container terminal, with a strong focus on lowering emissions and improving efficiency.

The four new electric Konecranes RTGs will replace several older diesel units currently running in the container yard. Power will be provided by cable reel systems connected to the local grid, with onboard battery packs included for stack changing. Each crane will feature Konecranes’ Truck Lift Prevention for enhanced safety during container handling.

A leading container terminal in India has ordered 30 Konecranes Rubber-Tired Gantry cranes (RTGs). The cranes will run entirely on onboard batteries charged by grid electricity, ensuring efficient energy consumption and zero tailpipe emissions. The order was booked in Q3 2025 and delivery is scheduled for Q1 2027.

The greenfield container terminal is designed to set new benchmarks for container handling in India. The 30 Konecranes RTGs will underpin yard operations and drive the terminal’s eco-efficiency mission.

All of the cranes will be fitted with Konecranes’ E-Hybrid technology, which can be configured in different ways for fully electric operation with zero tailpipe emissions. The terminal has selected a busbar-and-battery configuration. The RTGs are fully powered by onboard battery packs, allowing continued operations even if grid power is lost. The batteries are charged dynamically by the busbar power supply based on need during operation.

Konecranes’ E-Hybrid technology reduces peak power demand to only 60 kW per RTG, compared with up to 400 kW for traditional electric RTGs. This eases pressure on the local grid and reduces capital expenditure on electrical substations.
