Through the focused activity of the Far East branch in Hong Kong, Bedeschi has finalized a new contract with a key business and energy development company in Indonesia for a new floating terminal with a 35,000 tpd capacity of coal from loaded barges to big OGV. The new floating terminal is planned to operate in the mining area of Kalimantan and all the Far East Oceans.

The supply considers the full scope of the entire machine, including structures, key components and controls for 2x receiving hoppers with a dedusting system, 2x belt feeders with a blending mixer, 1x belt conveyor system complete with transfer towers, and 1x slewing-luffing-telescopic shiploader equipped with a trimming chute. The Bedeschi transhipping system can operate in automatic, semi-automatic, and manual modes through the Bedeschi electronic control panels and the operator pulpit. The shiploader can also be easily operated and trimmed by the deck personnel through a remote radio control.

Bedeschi closed the deal thanks to the commercial and technical support of Bedeschi Far East, which has a key strategic role both for the new installations and for the aftersales, spare parts, inspections, and procurement in the Asian market.

Fassa Bortolo, a long-standing Bedeschi customer, returns to invest in the production of plasterboard sheets in Spain, relying on the company to manufacture and install handling machines for gypsum.

GYPSUM RECEPTION AND HOMOGENISATION SYSTEM:

The system Bedeschi will supply is mainly composed of the following machines:

• METALLIC APRON FEEDER CNA 6.5/1500 300t/h
• STACKER CAR H 300t/h
• EXCAVATOR BEL C 150t/h
• Fully enclosed conveyor belt line.

SUPPLY DESCRIPTION:

The function of the plant is to fill the 80x25m stockpile pit with material from the gypsum quarry. This filling is carried out to maximize the available volume (approximately 8,000 cubic meters), ensuring the homogenization of the material.

The stacking plant consists of a unit with a reversible longitudinal belt, which is mobile on the runways applied to the trusses of the shed. At the ends of the longitudinal belt are two reversible belt carriages that can move in a transverse direction to the stockpile. The material from the quarry is conveyed from the longitudinal belt onto one of the two transverse belts for distribution in the storage area.

The reclaiming group consists of a BEL C-type reclaimer on an overhead crane. The overhead crane slides on the travel paths applied to the side walls of the storage. The BEL C reclaimer picks up the material from the bottom to the top (thus ensuring maximum homogenization) and unloads the material onto a conveyor belt fixed to the overhead crane.

The project will be very similar to a supply already delivered to the same client in the past.

S.p.a. has been awarded for the design and the supply of a new longitudinal storage from a long-standing client in the Far East area.

The project equipment for handling very sticky and wet chalk in Europe, includes one stacker STK-P and a tripper car with a capacity of 900 t/h and two reclaimers BEL-C with a capacity of 400 t/h.

Bedeschi Far East developed the project and assists the client for the whole phases of the process.

In the past days, Takoradi Port received the biggest bulk ship ever to call the Port since its construction in 1928.

Bedeschi S.p.a. supplied all the conveyor lines of the terminal, the two shiploaders and one eco-hopper.

The vessel, MV BABY HERCULES, a bauxite carrier, is a Capesize Bulk Ship with Length Over All (LOA) of 240 meters long and a draught of 16 meters, the first ever with these dimensions.

Thanks to the automation installed by the company at the terminal, the vessel was able to load a record of 106,530 metric tons of Bauxite in just five days, barring any inclement weather at the Port. Prior to our supply at the Dry Bulk Terminal, the vessel would have taken between 12 and 15 days to complete the loading of 106,530 tons, seven to ten days more than it will currently spend at the Port.

Bedeschi is proud of the results of the machines and to have helped boosting the capacity of the terminal.

The long-standing cooperation between Bedeschi and Medcem Cement continues. In the last month the company has been awarded for the supply of 4 pipe conveyors and one shiploader to handle clinker and cement.

The supply is part of the new expansion project of Yesilovacik Terminal which will involve the extension of the current dock of the port and the installation of the new Bedeschi machines.

The shiploader SHL 26/1400 will handle cement and clinker at a capacity of 1350 t/h while the 4 lines of pipe conveyors will have a total length of 1 Km with a capacity of 1000 t/h for cement and 1350 t/h for clinker.

The new supply will be similar to the shiploader already supplied to Yesilovacik on the image below.

The Qatar-based Joint Venture formed by Tecnicas Reunidas and Wison Engineering awarded Bedeschi a contract for the engineering and supply of new sulfur-handling equipment.

The project is part of the North Field Expansion Project to process and export sulfur from the existing expansion of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC).

The new sulfur plant will have the capacity to process an average of 5,000 tons of molten sulfur per day.

Bedeschi will supply:

• Six belts conveyor for a total length of 1,400 meters with a capacity of 550 tonnes per hour complete of galleries and transfer towers;
• Four belts conveyor for a total length of 480 meters with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per hour complete of galleries and transfer towers;
• One belt conveyor for a total length of 120 meters with a capacity of 3,700 tonnes per hour complete of gallery and transfer tower;
• Two Trippers with a capacity of 550 tonnes per hour;
• One double arm portal reclaimer with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per hour;
• One travelling Slewing Ship Loader with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per hour; and
• One radial Ship Loader with a capacity of 3,700 tonnes per hour.
