SENNEBOGEN EXPANDS ITS RANGE OF CRANES: INTRODUCTION OF AN 80 T TELESCOPIC CRAWLER CRANE

SENNEBOGEN has added another model to its range of crawler telescopic cranes, the 80 tonne 683 E. The ninth model in the range, with a load capacity of 80 tonnes and a main boom length of 42 m, perfectly fills the gap between the previous 673 E and the 6103 E and is in the middle size class of the manufacturer. In practical use, it impresses with its flexibility and robust design, which qualify it for a wide range of applications and uses.

The crawler telescopic cranes have belonged to us for over 30 yearsto the specialty of the Bavarian mechanical engineering company SENNEBOGEN, which has successfully established this flexible crane concept on the international market. As a further model in the fifth generation of machines, SENNEBOGEN is now introducing an 80 tonner which, thanks to its medium-sized class, its powerful full-power boom and powerful traction and winch motors, covers a wide range of possible applications. It is suitable for structural and civil engineering as well as for bridge construction, for piling work when assembling sheet piling and as an agile service and auxiliary crane. With a particularly robust design, it shows its strengths particularly in heavy-duty use on impassable construction sites, where it can easily take on pick-and-carry tasks and lifting tasks at a 4-degree angle.

The 80 t telescopic crane is driven by a 186 kW engine from Cummins with the latest exhaust aftertreatment, which corresponds to Stage V. The main and auxiliary winches are driven by a high-pressure piston motor, which gives them a considerable pulling force of 72 kN each and cable speeds of up to 120 m/min. brings. The individually configurable equipment with a wide range of attachments, options and additional functions such as a programmable working range limitation as well as safety and low-temperature packages appeal to users in special civil engineering and hydraulic engineering, among others.

FLEXIBLE ON THE GROUND AND IN HEIGHT

The 4-part Full Power Boom boom, which can be extended to a length of 42 m in the standard configuration, offers a decisive time advantage, especially in complex applications with changing boom lengths: the maintenance-free system of the Full Power Boom makes it possible thanks to multi-cylinder technology infinitely variable telescoping and is always friction-locked, so that any desired boom length can be approached quickly and easily, and the best load capacities are always achieved automatically. Optionally, the range can be extended to up to 57 m with an articulated double folding jib, which makes it particularly attractive for building construction. Operation is simple and intuitive by moving the joystick.

The telescoping crawler undercarriage of the 683 E has a maximum track width of 4.2 m. Depending on requirements, this can be reduced symmetrically or asymmetrically to as little as 2.68 m, with the load charts being automatically adapted to the respective track. Thanks to the robust construction of the undercarriage, there is no need for time-consuming positioning of the machine, which is particularly noticeable when working at an angle and for pick and carry tasks. The 80-ton truck not only offers impressive load values when tilted by up to 4 degrees, but can even move with 100% of the specified load on the hook. The standard 800 mm 3-bar base plates offer a high degree of stability and at the same time reduce the ground pressure to a minimum.

Easy and cheap transportation

The 80 ton crane is capable of unloading itself from a truck and fully self-assembling using the radio remote control. With attached crawler tracks, it has a transport width of just 3.5 m. After simply dismantling the tracks, not only is the transport weight reduced by almost 20 t, the transport width also shrinks to 3.0 m.

Always work ergonomically and safely – in the Maxcab comfort cab

Machine operators appreciate the ergonomic advantages of the particularly spacious Maxcab . The cab can be tilted by 20 degrees as standard for a comfortable view of loads that are far away. As an option, the crane can also be equipped with a cab that can be raised hydraulically to eye level of 5.55 m and tilted by 30 degrees. Large window elements offer an optimal view of the entire safety and work area. The machine can also be operated by radio remote control from outside the cabinbecome. Cameras and a large monitor expand the driver’s field of vision to the rear and to the right, and can also be used to monitor the winches. The electric dual axis controls feature joystick control buttons for optional attachments and the graphically displayed load moment limiter. The system provides an audiovisual warning and locks the control handle when load limits are approached or exceeded. In addition to important diagnostics, the intuitive Sencon control system also provides valuable data on load capacities, boom angle, boom length and radius, and thus supports the driver in his work with the machine – for maximum availability.

SERVICEABILITY

In terms of service friendliness, the SENNEBOGEN 683 E also proves to be extremely advantageous. A central lubrication point for the boom foot axis, luffing cylinder and slewing ring significantly reduces maintenance. Optimum accessibility to the service points and the clear labeling of the components also saves valuable time in day-to-day operations.
