SENNEBOGEN Demolition excavator with backhoe bucket

In order to be able to implement urban demolition projects holistically and to act not only effectively but also economically, flexible solutions are required.

After all, downstream demolition recycling and the preparatory activities for the new building are now also integral parts of the repertoire of modern demolition contractors. The multifunctional 51-ton SENNEBOGEN 830 Demolition Vario Tool demolition machine is now coming up with two new equipment variants just in time for bauma, which also qualify it for this work and make it even more flexible in use: a particularly robust earthmoving equipment with a reach of 12 meters and an associated backhoe bucket with a capacity of 1.7 m³.

Flexibility and safety on confined construction sites

In recent years, the SENNEBOGEN 830 Demolition has proven to be an absolute all-rounder in demolition and has demonstrated its flexibility and performance, especially on confined, inner-city construction sites. Its compact dimensions, the environmentally friendly Stage V motor technology installed in it and the high payload with a full 360-degree swivel range make it the perfect helper in difficult conditions and limited working areas. The impressive maximum track width of 4.5 metres – the widest outrigger square in this machine class – ensures a secure stand and work without vibrations, even in particularly heavy applications. Transport to the next construction site can be carried out easily and cost-effectively, among other things, thanks to the counterweight that can be dropped off at the touch of a button. For the driver, the Maxcab large-capacity cab with standard roof and front protection grille as well as optional bulletproof glass equipment offers not only a high standard of safety, but also added comfort. The cab can be raised by 2.80 metres and tilted by 30 degrees as standard thanks to the extra torsion-resistant cab raiser. Ergonomic working and an optimal view of the work area at all times are guaranteed. The new equipment option with earthmoving equipment and backhoe bucket presented at bauma 2025 makes the demolition excavator even more versatile.

Backhoe buckets and earthmoving equipment for heavy work at depth

After the demolition of a building, the rubble that has accumulated must be disposed of and often then the site levelled or a new excavation pit created. The new earthmoving equipment of the SENNEBOGEN 830 E Demolition Vario Tool, the EA12 with a reach of 12 meters, has a very robustly designed, three-part boom that enables impressive lifting capacities of up to 6 tons and is therefore also suitable for particularly heavy demolition tools of larger machine classes (e.g. the SENNEBOGEN 870 E Demolition). The machine has maximum mobility within the work area and covers virtually every angle. The operator can choose between the two kinematic positions by moving a pin on the boom: the extended compact boom KA, which is used for heavy dismantling work at height. On the other hand, he can choose the bent KA position, with which the maximum digging depth of 5 meters can be achieved and which is therefore particularly suitable for earthworks and foundation work. When demolishing basements and foundations, the machine can be placed close to the pit. This is not only space-saving, but the driver also gets a better view of the work area, even if it is lower. In addition, the flexibility of the boom in turn facilitates transport, as the boom can be transported in a compact way together with the base machine on a low-loader.

Equipped with the new 1.7m³ backhoe bucket, the machine can take on classic earthmoving tasks such as excavation, foundation work or loading the accumulated construction rubble into the trucks in addition to demolition work.

Equipment change in the shortest possible time thanks to fully hydraulic quick coupler

Another big plus is that with the optional fully hydraulic quick-change system, the entire equipment can be changed at the touch of a button in just a few minutes. This applies to both the booms and the attachment. The basic machine can thus be moved in the shortest possible time between the three boom variants – the two-piece AB17 with a reach of 17 metres, the three-part long-front equipment AB23 with a reach of 23 metres, and the earthmoving equipment EA12 – as well as various attachments – from demolition tongs to pulverisers – and can be adapted directly to the specific requirements of the construction site. The flexible demolition excavator SENNEBOGEN 830 Demolition Vario Tool can therefore be used easily and economically for several jobs in larger demolition projects without the need for an additional machine. This is not only practical, but also significantly reduces both costs and logistics for the demolition contractor.

Presentation at bauma 2025

The new SENNEBOGEN 830 Demolition Vario Tool equipped with earthmoving equipment and backhoe bucket will be presented to the public for the first time at bauma 2025, directly at the SENNEBOGEN booth, outdoor area FM.712, Messe München.
