New SENNEBOGEN telescopic crane with 200 t lifting capacity
At bauma 2025, SENNEBOGEN is setting a new milestone in its crane technology: With the introduction of the new 6203 E crawler telescopic crane, which has a maximum lifting capacity of 200 tons and a boom length of up to 78 m, the company is expanding its range to include what is now by far the largest and most powerful model in the series. A completely revised machine control system rounds off the new crane.
Now firmly established on the international market, more and more contractors and crane rental companies are recognizing the advantages and versatility of telescopic crawler cranes and are increasingly finding possible applications. “SENNEBOGEN has over 33 years of experience with mobile and crawler telescopic cranes. One market trend we are now observing is the growing demand for large telescopic crawler cranes. In order to meet this demand, we are now significantly expanding our range with the new 200-tonne crane,” explains Managing Director Erich Sennebogen.
Predestined for heavy precast concrete assembly, bridge and infrastructure construction
The SENNEBOGEN 6203 E is now the tenth telescopic crawler crane model in the manufacturer’s range and shows its strength above all when high capacities are required with changing radii and difficult construction site conditions. The crane is driven by an efficient 194 kW Stage V diesel engine, which, like all SENNEBOGEN cranes with Stage V engines, can be operated with HVO without any problems if desired. The main and auxiliary winches are driven by high-pressure-controlled adjustable hydraulic motors, which bring them to an impressive tractive force of 135 kN each and rope speeds of up to 115 m/min. The machine is predestined for heavy precast concrete assembly, bridge and infrastructure construction, as well as an agile service and auxiliary crane for the construction of wind turbines.
High load capacities in every situation
The 6203 E has a 6-section Pin Boom boom that can be telescoped up to 56.4 m. The Pin Boom telescopic system proves to be particularly light and stable and therefore achieves outstanding lifting capacities even with wide radii and long boom lengths. In the 200 tonne crane, an additional bolt point at 90% extension for each telescopic part increases the rigidity of the boom additionally, which means that the lifting capacities are extremely impressive even at long lengths. On the one hand, the 6203 demonstrates its capabilities with long boom lengths, but it is extremely strong with short boom lengths and at inclined positions of up to 4 degrees. This makes it particularly suitable for tasks on uneven construction sites or in pick-and-carry operation. The reach can also be extended up to 78 m with a hydraulically adjustable tip boom – an option that makes it particularly suitable for building construction. To keep operation as simple as possible, the most effective boom configurations are preset with 16 so-called “Extend Modes”. It is possible to switch between the Extend modes, saving valuable time when adjusting the boom length.
High stability: standard 1,000 mm 2-web floor plates
The telescopic crawler undercarriage has a maximum track width of 6.0 m, which can be reduced to up to 3.5 m depending on the requirements of the construction site. Thanks to the particularly robust design of the undercarriage and the high lifting capacities in the inclined position, the 200 t telescopic crane is particularly powerful in pick and carry tasks and can move with 100% of the specified lifting capacity on the hook. In addition, it can swivel the specified payloads a full 360 degrees. The standard 1,000 mm 2-web floor plates offer maximum stability and minimise ground pressure. For more sensitive substrates, durable polyamide sheets can also be used as an option so that they are not damaged.
Completely revised machine control system: the new SENCON Load Control
Like all large SENNEBOGEN telescopic cranes, this telescopic crane is also equipped with the proven Maxcab large-capacity cab, which can be tilted by 20 degrees as standard and thus always offers the driver an optimal view of the load. As an option, the cab can be hydraulically moved to a viewing height of 5.70 m and tilted by 30 degrees. Cameras to the rear and to the right extend the driver’s field of vision to the entire safety and work area.An absolute highlight in terms of driver assistance is the new SLC – SENCON Load Control machine control system. In order to make operating the crane as comfortable as possible for the driver, an additional, separate control system with its own screen has been integrated into the cab in accordance with automotive standards. The new system is a supplement to the existing SENCON (SENNEBOGEN Control System) and provides all valuable data on the lifting process on a large and clear display in addition to the load moment limitation. The Extend Modes can also be conveniently set here. In addition, there is a ground pressure display calculated in real time. The operation of the large touch display is particularly simple and intuitive and offers the operator valuable support in his work with the machine. Diagnostic data on the machine and engine are still stored in the SENCON as usual.
Easy transport and environmentally friendly
The crane has a transport width of only 3 m without the impeller carrier and can be transported in 7 units. In order to keep the transport weight as low as possible, the second winch can be easily removed via the ballast storage device, which results in a further weight saving of approx. 2.6 tonnes. Once at the construction site, the 200-tonne crane, like all SENNEBOGEN telescopic cranes, is able to unload itself from a low-loader and assemble itself in just a few steps.
In terms of serviceability, the crane shines with the proven SENNEBOGEN technology, which avoids overengineering according to the motto “keep it simple”. This means that hydraulics and electrics will continue to be used where electronics do not add value. The clear arrangement of all maintenance and service points as well as clear identification of the components make orientation easy and ensure that the machine is quickly available again in the event of service. State-of-the-art engine, drive and exhaust systems, as well as large-scale pipes and valves, ensure efficiency in operation and are not only easy on the wallet but also on the environment.
Presentation at bauma 2025
The 6203 E will be on display as one of the new cranes from 07.04 to 13.04.2025 at the SENNEBOGEN booth at the FM.712 outdoor area, Messe München, where it will be presented to the trade audience for the first time.
