New in the G series: SENNEBOGEN 830 G with 17 m reach

The new 830 G is the most versatile material handler and is suitable for many applications and applications. With its modular design and an impressive reach of 17 metres, its predecessor, the 830 E, already shaped the machine landscape in Europe for many years.

Upgraded to the new G-Series machine generation, this machine now shines with many brand new features, including the new Maxcab comfort cab, the new SENcon control system, as well as a machine design completely optimized for efficiency and serviceability.

SENNEBOGEN 830 G: All-rounder for many applications

With its 40 t operating weight and 17 m reach, the new 830 G series is a medium-sized material handler and, thanks to a wide range of equipment variants, presents itself as an all-rounder for many applications. Depending on the version, it convinces both in the handling of scrap and in recycling, in timber handling or at the port. With its modular design, the 830 G can be implemented with a crawler or mobile undercarriage with or without a pylon, as well as equipped with equipment lengths of 14 to 17 m and various grabs or other attachments such as vacuum trusses. For the boom itself, you can also choose between a compact boom, a curved banana boom for more reach depth, or an ULM stick variant – which means equipment with a special deflection mechanism for sorting grabs. Thanks to its intelligent and robust machine design, the 830 G can cope excellently with demanding continuous use in challenging working environments, such as extreme weather, dust pollution or heat.

Improved payloads, lower consumption

The modern SENcon control technology of the new G-Series impresses with its excellent responsiveness. In addition, the working clearance is perfectly coordinated, so that the combined or overlapping movement of the machine is child’s play and the work processes can be carried out quickly and precisely – for maximum productivity and efficiency in the daily work process. In addition, the lifting capacity values of the 830 of the G series have been significantly improved, so that the handling unit can now lift an impressive 4.3 t at a radius of 15 m in the version with mobile undercarriage. This means that the 830 G not only lifts more, but also achieves correspondingly higher handling capacity with the right attachment.

With the installed diesel engine of Stage V emissions with an output of 186 kW, the material handler works particularly efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner. The engine, which like all Cummins Stage V engines can run on HVO, runs at 1725 rpm, keeping both the machine’s fuel consumption and noise emissions low. In addition, the engine can also be operated in Eco mode. Large-dimensioned pipes and optimisation of the multi-circuit hydraulics ensure that the pump system is relieved and maximum efficiency is achieved. The 830 G is therefore particularly efficient and resource-saving, saving around 18.5 t of CO2 per year compared to the previous model.

Maximum operator comfort: New cab

In addition to outstanding efficiency, the new 830 G focuses above all on the operator. The latter benefits from the completely revised Maxcab cab, which also belongs to a new generation. The standard cab elevation to 5.80 visibility height (optionally even 6.60 m is possible) is now even more torsionally rigid and thus allows the driver to glide up and down even more smoothly. But the comfort in the cab also leaves nothing to be desired. The comfort seat is air-conditioned and air-sprung and offers many individual adjustment options for maximum ergonomic working. As an option, the cab can be equipped with the modern Comfort Audio system from recalm. This is not only a high-quality communication system, but also operates active noise cancelling, i.e. noise entering the cabin from the outside is reduced by up to 50 percent. The new and powerful automatic climate control and a total of 10 built-in air vents ensure absolute feel-good temperatures all year round. In addition, the omission of the B-pillar has further improved the feeling of space in the open-plan cabin. It is also particularly convenient and safe that the battery disconnect switch is omitted and the machine is de-energized by pulling the key from the ignition. In addition, the cab offers many other amenities, including charging sockets for smartphones, an integrated cooler, as well as a radio that has both hands-free function and Bluetooth and USB functions. All this makes the new Maxcab a very personal feel-good area for the driver.

Brand new control system: SENcon

Another highlight is SENcon, the control system of the latest generation. This impresses with many new, intelligent functions, all of which can be intuitively controlled via a single, 10-inch touch display in the cabin. First of all, it is highly customizable, from individually created driver profiles to the assignment of individual functions to buttons or switches. Furthermore, there are various useful assistance systems that support the driver in his daily work and that prepare the machine for partial and/or complete automation. On the one hand, the communication capability of the handling device ensures that the driver is informed in the best possible way about the machine condition and performance, and can thus make his decisions based on real data. Networking with the SENNEBOGEN Troubleshooter and remote maintenance options for customer service reduce on-site service calls, increase availability and are easy on the wallet. On the other hand, the fleet operator also receives a large amount of data that he can use, for example, for predictive maintenance and performance optimization. Software updates are conveniently available “over-the-air” with the new SENcon. More detailed information on the new control system can be found in a separate press release on SENcon.

Presentation at bauma 2025

The maintenance concept of the 830 G has also been further optimised and made particularly service-friendly. This includes clear and simplified access to all maintenance and service points, such as the central electrical distributor and the central lubrication system, which facilitates everyday maintenance. Refuelling can also be done conveniently and safely from the ground.
