Hitachi presents versatile short-tail ZX135W-7 wheeled excavator at Intermat

Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) will exhibit the ZX135W-7 wheeled excavator during Intermat in Paris on 24-27 April. Designed to meet the needs of contractors seeking greater versatility on the job site, the short-tail model has a compact 360-degree swing radius (1,740mm to the rear and 1,750mm at the front) for exceptional performance in confined areas.

This makes it an ideal solution for urban job sites, and residential and road construction sites – wherever space is limited. And like all new Hitachi Zaxis-7 wheeled excavators, the new model has been designed to help owners and operators control their profitability, comfort, safety and uptime.

Improve your profit

Owners can increase their profits thanks to low fuel consumption and the efficient operation of the new wheeled excavator across a variety of applications. The industry-leading HIOS V hydraulic system increases front speed and delivers up to 7% less fuel consumption than the previous Zaxis-6 range. The ZX135W-7 has the same engine as the larger ZX155W-7 model, ensuring a powerful performance.

Owners can further boost their profits by working on a wider range of projects thanks to the excellent versatility of the Zaxis-7 wheeled excavator. Attachments can be conveniently transported with the optional trailer support package, and they are easily changed using the enhanced attachment support system. The new model can also be fine-tuned to suit the operator’s preference and job site requirements – for optimum productivity, while reducing fuel consumption.

Further highlighting its versatility, the ZX135W-7 at Intermat is installed with a Rototilt quick coupler and tiltrotator bucket. In addition, its factory-fitted machine control system from Trimble is one of many innovative solutions to be presented on the Hitachi stand.

Like all of the Hitachi models on display, the ZX135W-7 is available through Hitachi Premium Rental and can be purchased using Zaxis Finance – both initiatives will also be promoted at the exhibition.

Feel the difference

The cab of the ZX135W-7 is the perfect working environment for operators. Ultra-spacious, it offers the ultimate in comfort and quality, with low noise levels and less vibration than the previous generation.

The seat and console have a synchronised motion, designed to ensure that operators feel less tired at the end of the working day. Easy operation also comes from the new ergonomic design of the console and switches, convenient access to controls, added functionality to the easy-to-view screen and joysticks, and the auto working brake.

Increased safety

The cab also offers a superior view of the job site to protect operators and the machine from potential hazards. Visibility is boosted by an exceptional 270-degree bird’s-eye view with the Aerial Angle camera system. The operator’s vision through the cab’s front window is also improved by the slim steering column (with wider adjustment angle) and smaller steering wheel.

To enable operators to work more confidently and productively, even in challenging conditions, the Zaxis-7 wheeled excavator is fitted with new features such as LED work lights, a windscreen wiper with an increased sweeping area, and larger mirrors. For additional safety, the upper structure and front attachment will lock in place when the machine is in the correct position, for driving on public roads.

A perfect fit

“We’re delighted to display this highly versatile model on our stand at Intermat this year,” says Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV Excavator Product Manager Wilbert Blom. “Its compact size and short-tail swing make it the perfect fit for contractors requiring a powerful, efficient machine to work in small or narrow spaces.”

The sustainable construction solutions and technology exhibition is held at Paris-Nord Villepinte and the HCME stand is number 6H039.
