Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Hubertus Muenster as Director for sales, rental and distribution management, effective 1 July 2025. This strategic addition to the leadership team comes as part of a broader transformation of the Sales & Marketing division, aimed at enhancing customer proximity and operational agility.

Dr. Muenster brings over two decades of experience in agricultural and construction equipment, distribution strategy, and international sales leadership. Most recently, he served as Head of Sales, Marketing, Network Excellence Development, and Product Management at another global construction equipment manufacturer, where he led the company’s European sales activities and drove transformation and performance through market orientation and brand value refinement.

Furthermore, to support its ambition of becoming faster, more agile, and closer to its customers, two key areas will now report directly to HCME’s President & CEO, Francesco Quaranta.

René Koops has been appointed Director, Business Solutions & Customizations. In this role, René will continue to lead the Product Management organization, ensuring the delivery of products and solutions that meet the specific needs of the European customers.

Laura Hendriks assumes the role of Director, Marketing & Brand Communication, with a clear mandate to enhance brand awareness and recognition. She will also lead the communication and promotion of Hitachi’s innovation journey, which began with the launch of LANDCROS One at Bauma 2025.

These changes reflect HCME’s ongoing commitment to strengthening dealer partnerships, accelerating innovation, and delivering customized solutions to customers across Europe.
