Flexibility inspires Savioni to invest in Hitachi wheeled excavator

Savioni Attilio SA (Savioni) has invested in a Hitachi ZX145W-6 wheeled excavator in order to help it meet the needs of its customers in a demanding local market. The Castaneda-based company’s latest acquisition was delivered by Switzerland’s authorised Hitachi dealer Probst Maveg with a full-service agreement and extended warranty programme covering three years/4,000 hours.

The arrival of the ZX145W-6 in September 2017 has expanded Savioni’s current fleet of Hitachi Zaxis machines to 14, and also comprises: two ZX17U-2s, a ZX19U-5, ZX22U-2, ZX35U-2, ZX50U-2, ZX52U-3 and ZX85US-5 mini and compact excavators; a ZX240N-3 and ZX250LCN-3 medium crawler excavators; and a ZX140W-3, ZX145W-3 and ZX160W wheeled excavators.

Flexible and versatile

The flexibility shown by the Hitachi ZX145W-6 is supportive of the challenges facing Savioni in today’s marketplace. The company’s latest investment was to meet a requirement for a short-tail swing machine, similar to its versatile ZX145W-3. “We are very happy with its predecessor and trust David implicitly of course, so the deal to buy this new machine was completed in about ten minutes,” adds Fabio.

“We have to react quickly to our customers’ demands and often have to be ready to work within 24 hours. The ZX145W-6 is fast, smooth and precise, with excellent visibility and space for our operators. In addition, they really like the Hitachi machines, due to the precision of the hydraulic system and the comfort of the cab.”

A strong relationship

Director Fabio Savioni and Probst Maveg started doing business together in 2006, when Savioni purchased its first Hitachi machine. The strength of Fabio’s relationship with Probst Maveg – and main point of contact David Frapolli in particular – comes from the friendship they have shared for over 20 years. “We are just simple people, who speak the same language and understand each other perfectly,” says Fabio.

“We have a very strong relationship with Probst Maveg, especially with the Osogna branch, who are easy to reach. The dealer should be very proud of its team and there’s never been any discussion about where we should buy our next piece of construction machinery. The whole package – the product and the service – is the most important aspect of our ownership of Hitachi construction machinery.”
