First E-Crane installed in Mexico!

Mexico represents one of the main expansion markets for E-Crane in Latin America, as it offers many opportunities in the Scrap and Steel Mill segment.

The first E-Crane crane sold in the Mexican market was for the client Zimmer Recycling, the leading company in the recycling market in Mexico, with more than 35 years of experience in the industrial scrap collection and purchase service.

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the company developed a solid expansion plan, investing in the construction of a new scrap handling plant where the new E-Crane 700 Series crane model EC4290 PD-E is installed, capable of moving up to 300 tons per hour.

A key decision factor for the E-Crane brand was due to the fact that it is an 100% electric crane, fully in line with the actions in favor of the environment that Zimmer has taken over the past few years. In addition to that, the E-Crane is the only option in the market that allowed the client to gather 3 essential characteristics: Outreach / Production capacity / Optimized use of the yard.

The project coordinator, Ing. Luis Cantu clearly synthesizes:

“The experience with E-Crane was very clear and fluid since the beginning of the conversations. The engineering support allowed us to optimize a better lay-out of the patio, covering our needs with just one crane”.
