Are you looking for transportation of your product from the European seaports to a hinterland destination? We are very well positioned to always charter the right sized barge for the various destinations along the rivers Rhine, Main, Danube, Mosel, North German canals up to and including a vast number of ports in France irrespective the tight restrictions, loading from mainly but not only the FARAGT ports.

Annually we transport more than 700.000 ton via the European waterway system, which is not only competitive from an economical point of view, but also environmental friendly. For that reason we consider barging to be an important link in the logistic supply chain we can offer you.

A fleet of modern barges is at your disposal for carrying amongst others industrial minerals, steam coal, petroleum coke, biomass, fertilizers, aggregates, containers and project cargoes.

Barging in combination with intermediate storage in the seaports and the various inland ports along the European waterway system is our daily activity!

(Intermediate) Storage

Circumstances on the rivers might require your cargo to be stored for a short period. Gans Cargo Operations can offer a wide variety of covered- and non-covered storage solutions. Depending on the nature of your cargo, we will offer the best and most suitable storage possibility for your cargo with the most competitive rate.

We understand that storing your products near your market is key for adequate and timely distribution. Within our group, we own a well located warehouse of 45,000 m3 in the port of Rotterdam. This warehouse is divided into smaller compartments, directly under grab reach and suitable for industrial dry bulk materials.

In addition, we offer covered storage in long term rented warehouses for dry bulk materials in various seaports within the ARAG-range and at strategic locations in France and Germany. We can also offer a number of options for covered storage in the Middle East region and Egypt.

If your cargo is less sensitive to weather conditions and/or contamination, Gans Cargo Operations can provide non-covered storage for bulk and break-bulk materials at various terminals across Europe, Egypt and India.
