Bedeschi sulfur-handling equipment for Tecnicas Reunidas, Qatar

The Qatar-based Joint Venture formed by Tecnicas Reunidas and Wison Engineering awarded Bedeschi a contract for the engineering and supply of new sulfur-handling equipment.

The project is part of the North Field Expansion Project to process and export sulfur from the existing expansion of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC).

The new sulfur plant will have the capacity to process an average of 5,000 tons of molten sulfur per day.

Bedeschi will supply:

  • Six belts conveyor for a total length of 1,400 meters with a capacity of 550 tonnes per hour complete of galleries and transfer towers;
  • Four belts conveyor for a total length of 480 meters with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per hour complete of galleries and transfer towers;
  • One belt conveyor for a total length of 120 meters with a capacity of 3,700 tonnes per hour complete of gallery and transfer tower;
  • Two Trippers with a capacity of 550 tonnes per hour;
  • One double arm portal reclaimer with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per hour;
  • One travelling Slewing Ship Loader with a capacity of 2,000 tonnes per hour; and
  • One radial Ship Loader with a capacity of 3,700 tonnes per hour.
