Rulmeca celebrates the Opening of Project Vulcan in Pell City, Alabama

We are proud to announce the grand opening of , our newest facility in Pell City, Alabama. This milestone reflects the Rulmeca Group’s continued commitment to innovation, manufacturing excellence, and sustainable growth.

This new facility significantly increases Douglas Rulmeca’s production capabilities in the U.S. market, particularly in the manufacturing of conveyor idlers and related components. Originally established in Pell City as Douglas Manufacturing became part of the Rulmeca Group in 2023.

The investment in advanced automation and production systems not only enhances quality and efficiency but also creates new jobs and growth opportunities in St. Clair County and throughout the region. The presence of Marco Ghisalberti, Executive President of the Rulmeca Group, and , Vice President of the Group, was especially significant.

Their participation highlighted the strong connection between the Group’s various locations and the confidence in the future of this industrial venture. This achievement would not have been possible without the collaboration of our colleagues from Douglas, Rulli Rulmeca in Italy, Rulmeca Canada and Rulmeca Corporation in Wilmington, NC, and the strong local partnerships that helped bring this vision to life.

A heartfelt thank you to our employees, partners, and community—and to all who joined us to celebrate this incredible moment. Together, we are building the future of material handling.
