A success story began in 1984 when the Lower Bavarian mechanical engineering company SENNEBOGEN and the Lower Franconian mechanical engineering company ABI GmbH laid the foundation for a successful collaboration for sophisticated solutions in the field of ramming, pulling and other applications in special foundation engineering.

Cooperation in special foundation engineering since 1984

As a traditional, family-run company, SENNEBOGEN Maschinenfabrik can look back on a 73-year history of success . With a wide range of solutions for the construction industry and material handling, the Lower Bavarian company, which now has over 2,200 employees, plays a leading role in various sectors. With carrier devices, material handling excavators, telehandlers, cranes and rope excavators with an operating weight of up to 420 t, SENNEBOGEN offers its customers the greatest variety of industry- and customer-specific solutions.

ABI GmbH is a medium-sized family business with a great passion for special foundation engineering machines . Since 1974, the company has grown steadily to now have over 250 employees. The management is committed to the innovative further development of the company and pursues a clear vision: “With our efficient machines, we offer our customers the best possible conditions as a solution for their special foundation engineering projects and accompany them as a reliable partner throughout the entire service life of the machine,” emphasizes Christian Heichel, shareholder of ABI GmbH.

Carrier devices became MOBILRAM systems

As early as the 1980s, both companies knew that complementing each other’s core competencies would lead to successful solutions on the market. ABI completed the SENNEBOGEN carrier machines of the time – known as SR19T, SR20T, SR26T, SR28T, also built as mobile devices – with a leader system and attachments to create the well-known MOBILRAM systems , which increasingly made a name for themselves on the national and international market.

In November 2024, both companies celebrated the 40th anniversary of their collaboration. Both company representatives emphasized that working together and complementing each other has always led to better solutions. “Over the many years, we have always challenged and supported each other. The number of solutions that we have implemented together is testament to the great success of this constellation. “We know a lot about the construction of carrier equipment, ABI is an expert in special foundation engineering applications. Together we now offer customers market-leading solutions in special foundation engineering ,” emphasized Erich Sennebogen, managing partner, in his laudation.

Common driver: finding customer-oriented solutions

With many years of experience behind them, both companies are looking to the future with confidence, as many markets offer great challenges and opportunities for their joint products. The pursuit of customer-oriented solutions will continue to be the driving force for joint development in the future. “The synergies from our collaboration never cease to amaze me. If I could describe an ideal collaboration, it would be just like the one today between our companies , ABI GmbH and SENNEBOGEN,” enthused Christian Heichel from ABI during the ceremony.
