Hitachi presents popular ZW-7 wheel loaders and ZXW-7 wheeled excavators at Bauma 2025

The extensive line-up on the Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) stand at Bauma 2025 includes several industry-leading models from the ZXW-7 wheeled excavator and ZW-7 wheel loader ranges.

All have been designed to put operators in complete control of their workspace with first-rate safety features and unrivalled comfort in the cab. Owners will feel in total control of their profit, thanks to their powerful performance and exceptional efficiency, and uptime due to durable components and easy maintenance.

Feel the difference

The Stage V-compliant ZW180-7 and ZW310-7 wheel loaders are among the safest machines in the market, thanks to superb all-round visibility and intelligent systems.

Operators have a superior view from all angles – especially with the excellent visibility to the rear and either side of the narrow engine hood. The Aerial Angle camera system provides an exceptional 270-degree bird’s-eye view of the job site, while the rear obstacle detection and warning system alerts them immediately if anything is close to the rear of the machine.

The ZW-7 wheel loaders epitomise the ultimate in comfort, with some of the lowest noise and vibration levels in the market. The spacious, fully redesigned cab includes an improved seat with mounted electric pilot control levers, new monitor controller and convenient side switch panel for easy operation.

Improve profit and maximise uptime

Owners will be able to increase their profits due to the powerful performance, low total cost of ownership and exceptional efficiency of the ZW310-7, and the impressive fuel economy and versatility of the ZW180-7.

High levels of productivity are ensured by fast cycle times, a high breakout force and loading capacity, and improved acceleration on inclines thanks to sensors installed on several machine components. The RPM are automatically increased thanks to the auto power up function, which maintains the machine’s travel speed when moving uphill. As a result, the reduced cycle times enhance productivity and fuel efficiency.

Faster and more efficient short loading operations due to the approach speed control feature further satisfy owners’ requirements. The ZW-7 models also load trucks more accurately, saving time and money, using the payload monitoring system.

“We are proud to present two models from our popular ZW-7 wheel loader range at Bauma 2025,” says Jacob Slooff, HCME Product Manager Wheel Loaders. “The ZW180-7 is renowned for its versatility on a variety of applications, and the larger ZW310-7 is designed to boost productivity in busy quarries and large recycling plants.”

Exceptional versatility

Representing the extensive Zaxis-7 wheeled excavator range are the short-tail swing ZX135W-7 and ZX175W-7, and the largest model, the ZX220W-7. All are renowned for versatility across a variety of applications. Attachments can be conveniently transported with the optional trailer support package, and they are easily changed using the enhanced attachment support system. All three models will be equipped with two-piece booms at Bauma 2025, to further demonstrate their versatility.

The industry-leading HIOS hydraulic system increases front speed and achieves high levels of productivity with low fuel consumption, helping to reduce running costs. The all-new ECO gauge also allows operators to control fuel efficiency.

The smallest model, the ZX135W-7, has the same engine as the larger ZX155W-7 and a compact 360-degree swing radius (1,740mm to the rear and 1,750mm at the front) for confined spaces. The ZX175W-7 also has an exceptional digging force and lifting capacity, improving productivity.

Unrivalled comfort in the cab

Like the ZW-7 wheel loaders, the wheeled excavators benefit from a redesigned cab that offers the ultimate in comfort and quality, with low noise levels and less vibration than the previous generation. The seat and console have a synchronised motion, designed to ensure that operators feel less tired at the end of the working day.

Another similarity to the ZW-7 wheel loaders is the superior view of the job site, which is boosted by the Aerial Angle camera system, slim steering column (with wider adjustment angle) and smaller steering wheel.

To enable operators to work more confidently and productively, even in challenging conditions, the Zaxis-7 wheeled excavators are fitted with LED work lights, a windscreen wiper with an increased sweeping area, and larger mirrors. For additional safety, the upper structure and front attachment will lock in place when the machine is in the correct position, for driving on public roads.

HCME Wheeled Excavator Product Manager Wilbert Blom says: “The Zaxis-7 wheeled excavator range has been built to last. The new models have been tested rigorously at dedicated facilities in Japan to ensure they deliver a reliable performance and high levels of uptime.”

The ZW180-7 and ZW310-7 wheel loaders, and ZX135W-7, ZX175W-7 and ZX220W-7 wheeled excavators will be on display at stand FN.716 during Bauma 2025, which takes place on 7 to 13 April in Munich.
