Powering the future – we’re going on tour!

Three zero-emission Hitachi machines are now on tour to show how Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) is meeting construction industry demands for sustainable solutions.

The battery-powered excavators, ranging from 5 to 14 tonnes, will be demonstrated to selected dealers and customers across Europe, as well as energy storage and charging units produced by Alfen BV.

The tour has already visited Sweden in February and March, where authorised Hitachi dealer Delvator introduced the electric equipment to a leading construction company. Next up will be Denmark, followed by several other countries in the coming months with the tour ending at Bauma 2025 in Germany.

Road to zero emissions

So, why do these excavators deserve to be shown off and have their own tour? Bill Drougkas, HCME Manager Product Management & Solution Linkage, explains: “We are working hard to meet the growing demand for zero-emission equipment and listening carefully to our customers’ requirements for improved safety, increased productivity and reduced life-cycle costs.

“The ‘Powering the future’ tour gives us the opportunity to receive valuable feedback from our dealers and customers on our latest sustainable solutions. They highlight our commitment to the creation of a sustainable future and will play an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.”
