This year, the Port of South Louisiana acquired a fresh new brand identity for the first time since 1998. CEO Paul Matthews had a clear vision for the fresh look that would help the Port to grow and flourish with new energy. Our new branding targets the maritime and commercial industries, government officials at every level, and our community at large.

Maritime Messaging
Our new branding informs the maritime industry that the Port is both highly efficient and easily accessible. The Port’s four modes of transportation offer access to over 60 percent of the US and two Canadian provinces. The new branding also advertises the Port’s 20,000 acres of available land, most with Mississippi River frontage.

Our fresh branding also communicates that federal, state, and local government officials should remain confident in their support of Port infrastructure funding. These investments help the Port to serve as a massive driver of our regional and state economies, and to improve quality of life for Louisianans.

The new brand conveys that the Port generates economic stability by offering higher earnings, creating new jobs, producing tax revenue, and remaining steadfast in its commitment to reinvesting in our community.
