The latest issue of Bruks Siwertell’s customer magazine, Bulk Handling News, has been published. It coincides with the recent launch of the company’s new sustainability website pages. Together, they confirm Bruks Siwertell’s commitment to sustainable development and highlight the opportunities available to operators when they switch to environment-friendly dry bulk handing and wood-processing solutions.

In the US cement industry, where Siwertell ship unloaders have set global standards for decades, Bruks Siwertell continues to strengthen its market share, offering dust-free, highly efficient unloading solutions from large-scale installations to very agile road-mobile ship unloaders.

The company has entered new sectors, with an aggregate stockpile system installation for Lhoist North America. It is now increasing production capacity at Lhoist’s Alabama mine.

Also in the US, the magazine discusses how one of the largest agribusinesses in the world, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), is still benefiting from record-breaking grain loading operations since the delivery and installation of three market-leading Bruks ship loaders. They transformed its Ama, Louisiana, terminal in 2018 and continue to secure dust-tight and spillage-free grain loading.

Grain remains a hot-topic throughout the issue, including how Bruks Siwertell technology can enable grain handlers to capitalize on the advantages offered by the expanded Panama Canal.

Other key highlights demonstrate that operators can save millions of dollars by taking a long-term view of dry bulk handling equipment and comparing the right figures, including actual through-ship capacity, total investment costs, dust and spillage, and maintenance, at the point of investment.

Bruks Siwertell’s proven expertise in handling certain materials mean that some operators return again and again. For example, a feature shows how Formosa Plastics Corporation (FPC) trusts Siwertell technology to overcome the challenges of handling salt. FPC has become Bruks Siwertell’s biggest repeat Siwertell ship unloader customer ever, by placing an order for two more 640 D-type unloaders destined for salt handling in Taiwan; taking its Siwertell unloader total to thirteen, four of which for handling salt.
